FOR SENIOR FINANCE LEADERS

CFO Training Melbourne

Finance Executive Mentoring Network

This exciting and unique program combines expert finance training and mentoring from a proven finance leader with the challenge and external perspective of your Finance peers across industries and sectors.

The program is limited to 10-15 delegates of similar seniority and expertise. That creates access to diverse thinking and fresh perspective of the leadership cohort in a safe and private yet challenging environment. It is designed for leaders with the passion, purpose and intention to make a difference.

Program and Time Frame
The delegates meet monthly at a central venue in Melbourne CBD for 90 minutes of finance training and discussion over the 12 month program. They will conduct deep dives on specific big finance issues that the group wish to prioritise as well as connecting and discussing current issues. Your executive mentor will lead the session and challenge perspective to create actionable takeaways for the individuals and shared learning for the network.

Multiple CFO and finance training sessions will run on demand throughout Melbourne to keep groups small (10-15 people), engaged and participating. Separate groups may be established for corporates, not-for-profits and public sector on a needs basis.

Leadership Legacy
The essence of this CFO training program is its intent for Finance to step up and play a bigger game. This is your opportunity to reflect on your leadership legacy. You will challenge your focus and priorities through mentoring and collaboration with peer professionals. This structure enhances personal learning and stretch through the peer dialogue, facilitation and wider group experiences. By specialising on CFO training within Finance as a discipline or business function we are assured of greater understanding of urgent business imperatives.

1 Mentoring
In the group forum, delegates will be mentored by John Symons. John is a proven finance leader who has led large scale Financial operations, transformation and Finance Business Partnering of complex, global businesses. He knows Finance and he knows Leadership. The bias is to shift Finance leaders out of the numbers and into driving significant business value. This CFO training program offers greater independence through an external Finance Expert who understands your context, challenges and opportunity for greater personal impact and commercial value.

2 Finance Network
Finance training within the Melbourne peer network creates a reinforcing mechanism with broader application. They will learn with and from peers in diverse industries and organisations by sharing their own experience and perspectives. This creates a broader understanding and explores new possibilities through valuing diversity. The external professional network of Finance leaders understand the technical and business context to generate additional support, motivation and resilience for themselves and for the group.

Outcomes
Delegates - We are often creatures of habit. This program acts as a circuit breaker to in-house thinking. External perspective from your mentor and peers will shift the way you think about problems. It will tune your focus to value and not process. It will challenge your leadership legacy to shift performance and accelerate potential.

Participating Organisations - Finance as a function transcends industries and sectors. Aside from the business that we are in, the assurance, leadership and business partnering priorities are all common issues. This program is about developing leverage through specific finance training and CFO training. Your Finance leaders will access external support and challenge to emphasis doing the right things (value) beyond just doing things right (process). This program connects organisations to better practice which is fit for purpose and engages their delegates in personal development with a higher sense of purpose for the Finance Domain.
